J. R. Parrish went from high school, to milkman, to a Fortune 500 company’s number-one salesman in America. Against the odds, the Silicon Valley commercial real estate firm he founded grew to be one of the two premier firms in that market. He retired at age fifty-five on the Big Island in Hawaii. In this easy-to-understand, power-packed book, J.R. reveals the lessons he was taught by his mentors, and those he learned on his own, about finance, business, marriage, career, school, friendships, dating, family, health, thinking, habits, and most importantly, how to deal effectively with others.
Reading this book gives you the opportunity to learn the best way to deal with many of life’s most important situations before you have to experience them.
It is a constant life companion that you will refer to again and each chapter has a Lesson in a Nutshell summary of important points and A Few Profound Thought inspirational quotations for quick and easy review and reference.

Young people, who have not faced with death or people with terminal diseases, can learn from the book Life Lessons how people evaluate and meet death in the end of their lives. This book is good for those who are going to work or work now with elderly at their homes or in a hospice care field. These people can read and discuss this hook together with their clients. Life’s Greatest Lessons is a gem. Hal Urban has taken “old-fashioned” and classic truths and woven them into a practical and timely work. I have used this book with my high school classes, as gifts for graduates, family, and friends, and am presently using it as a book study in an adult church group. It is one of those books that makes so much sense, readers wonder why they haven’t thought of putting the ideas together on their own. A great guide for successful living!
