I did not realize that this book was aimed at Christian married couples. I read the first few reviews of it on Amazon, but I should have read further down.
I think that some of the content is decent, but disagreed with the authors in a few ares – such as where they say porn is forbidden, and they also bash abortion in the first chapter…I’m not sure why that’s necessary in a book promoting better sex between married couples. Lastly I found it distracting that God was literally referenced on just about every page, along with bible passages and talks of much prayer.
The final straw was when the authors suggested praying outloud to God when the love-making is over but while your husband is still inside of you. Em…no thanks, I’m good.

I highly recommend this book for any Christian couple. It is a godly book with a biblical perspective. We are actually studying this book in our Sunday School class and are getting closer as a couple through what we are learning.

I saw Bill and Pam speak on Red Hot Monogamy at a Hearts at Home conference and consequently bought the book. I’m so glad I did. It is one of the best books on intimacy I have read. The Farrel’s have a down-to-earth style of writing, that can make a sometimes difficult topic very readable and relatable.
The book is filled with “Red Hot Romance Ideas” and has “hands on” homework at the end of each chapter making it a very practical read. I would highly recommend this resource to anyone who desires to have the title, “Red Hot Monogamy” be a descriptor of their marriage.

I LOVE this book, and my husband does too! I have recommended this book to all of my friends and even bought one for a door prize at our annual Valentine’s Fondue Night party. It has motivated me to put my intimate life into the forefront of my marriage. This amazing book gives pratical tips, both elaborate and simple, to spice up your romance life. Whether you have no drive, pain or a great intimate life, this book is for you!
